A choice of eight bore sizes are available.ĪP Racing has also introduced a new ‘pull type’ cylinder is that is similar to AP Racing’s CP6465 type, which has a built-in trunnion mounted in needle roller bearings for direct mounting to the balance bar. This new compact flange-mounted ‘push type’ master cylinder with centre valve configuration replaces AP Racing’s CP6093 family which is no longer available.įeaturing a forged aluminium alloy body, the cylinder is designed for imperial hydraulic threads and is suitable for use in ABS and high pressure applications, and for most brake and clutch applications. A choice of eight bore sizes are available. It is again suitable for rear for most brake and clutch applications, and is for ABS and high pressure applications. This new compact flange-mounted ‘push type’ master cylinder is of similar design to the CP9093, but features metric hydraulic threads. A choice of nine bore sizes are available. This optional feature can be removed by substituting a sleeve for the AKB Plug.

The CP6467 also features a patent-pending system that is designed to greatly reduce ‘knock back’. Suitable for most brake and clutch applications, the cylinder also features a special ‘plug-in’ inlet connection that can be swaged directly to a dash 4 size hose. It features an aluminium alloy body and a centre valve configuration which helps to improve cylinder performance and seal durability. This new ‘pull type’ trunnion mounted cylinder is more efficient than conventional type master cylinders and is designed for use in ABS and high pressure applications. This leads to ‘heel nibble’ where the seal is partially extruded up the cut-off port. Seal heel nibble can occur during braking when, in conjunction with ABS, pressure is built up earlier in the seal travel, before it has travelled over the cut-off port. In normal braking operations, seals travel past the cut-off port before high pressure has built up in the system. The centre valve replaces conventional ‘cut off’ ports that can cause ‘seal heel nibble’ when used with some ABS systems. The new cylinder types: CP6467, CP7198 and CP9093 feature a centre valve configuration that helps improve overall cylinder performance as well as seal durability with ABS. AP Racing introduces new master cylinders including high-efficiency centre valve master cylinders.ĪP Racing, the leading manufacturer of performance braking and clutch systems for road and race use, is introducing a new range of centre valve high-efficiency master cylinders.
